Frederick II of Prussia

Frederick the Great, King of Prussia(1740-1786) from the Hohenzollen Dynasty. Frederick, born in Berlin, was a gifted musician who played the transverse flute. He composed about 100 sonatas for flute as well as four symphonies and march music. His court musicians included C. P. E. Bach, Johann Quantz, and Franz Benda.
