Fleta, Miguel

Miguel Fleta (1897-1938), Spanish tenor, he was one of the most significant Iberian opera singers of the 20th century. He premiered the role of Calaf in Puccini's opera Turandot under Toscanini's baton.The most notable aspect of his performance style was the technical dexterity of his bel canto technique enabling him to produce the most spectacular messa di voce and pianissimo.
